Our Energy
Our energy is with Octopus energy. A 100% Green energy supplier based in various countries including the UK
Lighting
All of our lighting here at ABC Service is LED based lighting thereby reducing our energy consumption massively throughout the working day.
Locals
All of our members of staff are local therefore they either walk to work OR car share with family, friends, neighbours etc. to reduce carbon emissions.
Recycling Offcuts
Here at ABC Service we provide a wide range of printing and we don't like to see the off-cuts go to waste, so they are packaged up and sold, this is ideal for kids arts and crafts projects!
Carbon Capture
All of our media here is Carbon Captured and or recycled media. FSC Approved and more.
Recycling
All of our toner and/or ink cartridges are recycled with companies who say "Zero to Landfill" and are approved by our printer manufacturers.
Toners
We use toners that are environmentally friendly. The toner bottles are made of recycled milk bottles.
Short run printing
We print short runs for our clients thereby reducing wastage. Why have 500 leaflets printed if you really only need 400?
Machines
If a machine is not being used for the day, we turn it off! We try and bundle jobs as well so multiple jobs are done on a machine when it is on and running.
Inks
Our wide format inks are environmentally friendly and come with GreenGuard Gold Certification. The inks are virtually odourless and does not require any special ventilation or environmental equipment
Recycled Packaging
We ask local businesses to drop their old used, clean boxes into us and we use these for shipping the print in. This not only means we save on packaging we are genuinely recycling and it gets the community involved too!
Our Computer Sustainability
IT Recycling
All of our IT equipment, parts etc that are removed from broken devices are stored safely and then fully recycled including phone screens.
Walking
Where possible and if you are based in Tavistock or Whitchurch, Devon our engineers will walk to you thereby saving on car emissions.
Travel
A lot of our work can be done remotely and therefore we don't generally have the need to travel to places. With this said we have decided to use either local Taxis or Public Transport to take us to places outside of Tavistock if and when needed.
