Feb 1, 2023

Hello everyone, we hope you had a good Christmas and New Year. Everyone now is well and truly back in full swing and this year will be an exciting one.

Update Quiche….I mean quickie

  • We became Cyber Essentials Certified late last year
  • We have launched our wholesale printing website www.abctradeprinter.co.uk
  • We have launched our computer retail website www.abcserviceshop.co.uk
  • We have now reduced some of our services down to create more focus within the business.
  • We are out and about networking at various events, so you will most likely see one of us at a local networking event near you!

Feeling the pocket pinch?!

VLC Player – This is a completely FREE to download Media Player which allows you to play a whole variety of video extensions. We have found a lot of customers have been unable to play certain videos and this is a fantastic way to allow that. Download from www.videolan.org

Libre Office – Another completely FREE to download piece of software, this one allows you to open Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents. If you don’t have the budget for Microsoft Office either at its monthly cost or the purchase outright option, then this is a great free alternative. Don’t get me wrong, its not the same but for those on a tight budget it will do everything you need to write your letters or your next novel! Download from www.libreoffice.org

CCleaner – If your computer is running a little sluggish why not give the infamous CCleaner a try. Now there are paid for versions and it does try to sell you other stuff, don’t bother with that just stick to the freebie version, pleeeaasssee! It’s great and cleans up your PC nicely. Just note that if certain settings are left “checked” then after you perform a clean-up you will need to login to everything online again so make sure you know your passwords! www.ccleaner.com

Meet the team

This edition we are covering our tech boys!

Jack – Jack is our longest employed technician here passing his Level 3 Networking and Infrastructure technician course and continuing his personal development he also gained his Comptia A+ certification.

Jack has come out of his shell massively over the years, still has his moments of shyness when meeting new people but definitely grown as an individual under ABC.

Jack’s sole focus is on our business clients.

Nathaniel – Nathaniel is our youngest technician here, he also has his Comptia A+ qualification under his belt and he is currently on the Network and Infrastructure Technician course as an Apprentice.

Nathaniel is shy and very socially awkward which is something that is slowly improving over time as more customers sit and engage with him. He definitely likes being behind the computer screen which is where he thrives and can work through the issues methodically.

Nathaniel’s sole focus is on our home clients.
